Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn · Bengaluru

I build the systems that keep platforms safe and make hiring smarter.

Hi, I’m Raghav. Over five years I’ve gone from moving enterprise data, to moving packages across India, to protecting a billion-member platform through a historic election year. Now I’m helping recruiters work alongside AI.

The journey

Five chapters so far.

  1. 012017 – 2021

    Learning to build

NIT Kurukshetra · B.Tech, Computer Science

Four years of computer science, and the moment I realised I loved the invisible parts of software: the systems underneath that just have to work.

  2. 022020 – 2022

    Data at enterprise scale

    SAP Ariba

I started as an intern and stayed to build the ingestion layer for Prism, a data lake serving SAP Ariba’s business customers. It was my first real taste of large-scale systems.

Lesson Reliable data pipelines are a product, not plumbing.

  3. 032022

    Getting packages to doorsteps

    Flipkart · Seller Fulfillment

Everything that happens after you hit “Buy”: alerting the seller, printing the label, first-mile pickup, moving between warehouses and last-mile delivery. I helped orchestrate it, at India scale.

Lesson Every service call is a real parcel and a real customer waiting.

  4. 042023 – 2024

    Keeping a billion-member platform safe

    LinkedIn · Trust

I built the infrastructure that hosts LinkedIn’s content moderation models, and helped it grow from regex rules to machine learning to LLM-powered defences. In 2024, a year of elections around the world, I led my team’s civic integrity work across India, the US, the UK, Japan, Brazil and more.

Lesson When the stakes are public, “mostly works” isn’t good enough.

  5. 052024 – now

    Making hiring smarter

    LinkedIn · Talent Solutions

I first protected the job ecosystem from abusive listings and used LLMs to clean up job data. Today I build the integrations that connect LinkedIn to recruiting systems like Greenhouse, Lever and SmartRecruiters. That work powers LinkedIn’s Hiring Agent, so recruiters can do their whole job in one place.

Now Making AI genuinely useful for the people who hire.

What I bring

The kind of engineer you call when it matters.

Systems that scale

I’ve shipped real-time APIs, event-driven pipelines and big batch jobs, and I know when each one is the right tool.

AI that actually ships

I’ve taken LLMs from prototype to production with real cost, latency and quality constraints, not just demos.

Calm under pressure

I’ve been the one leading through election seasons and live abuse incidents, owning the problem until it’s solved.

Beyond the code

I run for the same reason I engineer.

Consistency over intensity. Small, boring reps that compound. A long run and a hard system are the same promise: show up every day, trust the process, and the distance takes care of itself.

Early mornings on the road are where I do my clearest thinking — no Slack, no alerts, just the next kilometre. It keeps me patient, and patience is half of good engineering.

What’s next

Let’s build something that matters.

I’m always happy to talk about hard engineering problems, trust & safety, AI in production, or what’s next in my career.
